Globaltickit - Vibodha, Tila, Devon and Darshan
January - April 2006 - Western Australia and New South Wales
April, May & June 2006

The days are passing, as they do.

Now, there are three of us, with another on the way, who have somehow materialised from out of time.

And here one sits, brushing his teeth, yet three years ago he was not.

How strange and delightful.

The Fair - April 2006

Today mum brought us all to the fair.

Fair in Western Australia

A moment of time with Devon.
~ end of June 2006

It is such a delight being Devon’s Mum, I feel that I haven’t really shared of late how magical of a little boy he is.

He is so caring and loving and so clever and smart. The things he says and understands just amaze me.

I love him so much and everyday I am grateful for him coming into our lives. I, of course, tell him this all the time and he says “You’re welcome!”.

At the moment I am also carrying his little brother, with 3 weeks to go to due date.

Then the whole family gets to meet the second son in our family and we are all so excited.

We are going down to our "Baby Moon" tomorrow to Dunsborough to hang out in the forest with the kangaroos!!

Devon is very excited, today is our packing day (along with pregnancy yoga and seeing 2 clients!).

This is the precious time we are taking together with just the three of us before Darshan (little one's name) arrives into our family.

We are taking 5 days together.

Being a second child myself carrying Darshan is proving to be an interesting experience. I can see how the first child does have a different start in life.

MY midwife Sally calls the first babies, “The Mother Makers”, and they are.

Before Devon I was a single person and now I really am a mother. Devon has guided me to grow more selfless.

I know it will be perfect for Devon, he is already embracing Darshan.

He includes him everytime he speaks of our family and he loves babies.

Anytime he sees a baby he wants to go over and touch their face!

I am ready now to meet Darshan.

He is just such a little mover, he wriggles around all the time. He has been a wonderful baby to cradle and nuture, the nine months has been blissful. I am more aware and conscious this time so I feel great about bringing him into the world.

I have been supported wonderfully by several different therapies. I have osteopathy with Anna, acupuncture with Sono, reflexology with Ashi, chinese herbs from The Healing Point, massage with Lulu and Vistara. I feel so nurtured during this entire pregnancy. I feel honoured for the natural birth I am having. It feels like a rite of passage.

He feels like a very easy going baby. Our preparation for his arrival is so smooth.

So with three weeks to go until due date (14th July) . Vibodha thinks Darshan will come around the full moon, which is the 10th, 11th and 12th July.

Let's wait and see...

Osher's Birthday Party & Pony Rides

Osher turned 3.

He had a party, and they had pony rides. It was a wonderful party and a great opportunity for Devon to be amongst other children.

A Delightful Sunday spent in Jarrahdale.

Jarrahdale is a place that we would like to explore. it is about 1 hour south of Fremantle and in the heart of a national Park with beautiful forests, waterfalls and rivers. it would be a wonderful place to own a home.

I looked up the website and discovered that some of the locals of Jarrahdale run frequent Sunday walks in the local forests, so we decided to go on this fine day in March.

We walked around the forest trail together with the group finding out all about the local area and meeting some of its lovely inhabitants.

Then we went to the Serpentine Dam and Park for our yummy yummy picnic and that was just a wonderful time.

I feed one small piece of popcorn to one bright red multicoloured parrot and before we knew it about 15 parrots were all around us.

It was so funny, I was just welcoming them down there and I could hear a slight hesitation in Vibodha's voice as he saw more and more of them arrive on the table...

It was great! We had a great picnic and spent the whole day down there just relaxing together as a family.

We all loved it.

Later in the afternoon some other local children arrived with sunflower seeds to feed the parrots and they kindly shared it with us.

So we got to feed all the parrots with them sitting on our hands. Devon let the birds eat out of his hands too, he was not afraid.

Our camera ran out of batteries which is why we don't have more photos to match the wonderful experience!

Every day, one day closer.

As quantum physics has proven, matter is both a particle and a wave.

Thus, so are we.

We are particles in the sense that we are solid beings, moving around in space. However even the particles that make us up are not, in reality, solid objects.

I think that much of the mondern angst comes from believing we are particles. That we are static. We are not.

Really, we are waves. We are the ungraspable part of ourselves, not the stuff from which we are made. The stuff of our bodies is never the same anyway, it is constantly being cycled around and through our bodies.

We are everchanging. Like waves in the sea, flowing across the ocean to cascade along the shore and be gone. We are flowing beings. We are that which flows.

For instance, that which I see before me is not that which I love. >> It is not the stuff from which he is made that I love, but the being manifest in it. What I love in them is much more than the particles of which they are made.

That which I love is ungraspable.

Yet it is so present and obvious, why can we not grasp it? Because it is a wave.

Getting that we are waves is where the fun begins.

A wave, thinking that it's a particle, will always be disappointed to find out that it is really only a wave.

But a wave, knowing it's a wave, can travel to the ends of the ocean and wash the farthest shore.

What will this little being inside my beloved's belly bring into our lives? What will he look like? What will he BE like? Beautiful, I'm sure.

Making Muffins

I was in the mood for muffins one day. Looking on the internet, I quickly found a healthy, yummy looking recipe.

I tried it once on my own. I tried it twice with my son. After that, Devon knew the recipe himself and could teach his Mum.

She added the JAM filling!

Hari Krishna!

Little Lefroy needed repairs.

Thanks to the arms of Krishna, brother Vijan (below) was there to help.

Which is good, because we needed to climb onto a HIGH roof, replace a dozen weathered panels, fill gaps, and really get to know every part of our wonderful little property.

It was fun. It was a bit scary too. Especially after it rained and made the roof slippery.

Growing Boy

Devon is amazing. He is so clever, bright, intelligent, funloving, enthusiastic, cheerful, and all-round a wonderful little boy.

His vocabulary is amazing. Everyone comments on it. What I find most amazing is how I usually only have to read a book ONCE to him, for him to 'get' the words and be able to recall and recite them next time. If, while reading, I skip a few words, he promptly and accurately reminds me of what it 'should' be.

It's quite amazing to see him read an entire book, without knowing what WORDS are. He knows the entire alphabet in both upper and lower case, and consistently spells things out, asking 'what does this spell?" wherever we go.

3rd Birthday for our friend Crest

A little over three years ago we attended a childbirth-education class and met a heavily pregnant Aya and her partner Tony. They only attended one of the 6 week course, as they had a baby... Crest.

They live only a few doors down from us, and Devon and Crest are friends (and so are their parents.) See when the boys first met, back in 2003.

Crest is not a baby now. He's three.

And along to his birthday party we go ...

Crest's Third Birthday

Red Wheelbarrow and 1/2 tonne of wood.
We bought Devon a red wheel barrow to help in the garden. He loves it. He wanted to help me move the firewood, so I built him a ramp and tossed it up to his wheelbarrow. He would then trundle down the ramp and dump it near the 'firewood walls' as he calls them. He would have moved almost a 1/2 a tonne himself over the two days of hauling. It's so FUN!
Babymoon - June 21 - 26th 2006
Dunsborough, Western Australia

A time of three.

Devon, daddy and me.

Before we become four,

we thought we'd explore,

and enjoy our family of three.

In a spirit of celebration and adventure, we set off for Dunsborough to stay in 300 acres of private forest (with the kangaroos).

It was a magical five days, full of laughter and smiles, climbing and exploring, loving, learning, embracing... and eating homemade muffins.

Enjoy it with us again, now...

** Our Second Babymoon **

Boyhood and rock climbing
Canal Rocks, Western Australia

I wondered what Devon would think of Sugarloaf Rock. I'd climed it myself almost three years ago on our first babymoon (when he was still in his mummy's tummy).

It was quite an inspiring climb, full of beautiful rocks and massive waves.

Unfortunately, Sugarloaf Rock was getting a new walkway and we were not able to climb there.

However, as the universe has taught us many times... what comes unexpectedly is a gift from existence. And it was.

We drove a short way across the penninsula to Canal Rocks, much better for little hands and feet to climb.

Mummy climbed over too, carrying Darshan in her belly. Then Devon and I climbed to the precipice and looked down the canal...

Canal RocksIt was a wonderful time. I loved this opportunity to be with Devon so very much. We had such a good time together, climbing over the rocks.

What a wonderful gift this is, to enjoy eachothers company and explore together.

Together together together.
