| The Warehouse Renovation |
With Ross's help we got the bath and sink out, tore up the floor, and cleared the bathroom space.
Great, now that that's done, we're almost done. (yeah right !!!)
Most of February was spent renovating. To see this month's renovation process click here: Warehouse Renovation, February 2005

Club Zorbas
(yes as in Zorba the Greek, friend of the Buddha) |
In Fremantle there is a great club called ZORBA's which our Sannyasin friend Suchita runs and where our friend Avi DJ's.
There was a special children's night so we took Devon for a dance. (Although it really is OK to bring Devon at any time).
Avi's wife Peta brought their son Osher who is only 5 months older than Devon.
Devon was dancing around with us and by himself. He chased the lights across the floor and had great fun. So did we. |
This club is really special because you can BE however you want to BE - no need to look a certain way, or dance a certain way.
Peope dance wildly, most have no shoes on, and it really is a place where dancing is a meditation.
Wonderful, wonderful.
It happens every second Wednesday. Check out here for details: CLUB ZORBA'S & Full Circle Radio

| Dynamic Meditation |
Yep, still doing Dynamic Meditation. Training the mind, disciplining the body.
I've had almost a dozen people join me as the word spread that Dynamic was happening.
People always find it helpful, even if they only come for a day or two. |

Our little boy is so divine, we love him so much...
can you see why? |
  |
He is always so joyful, peaceful, helpful and loving.
He takes after his Dad! |
Dear Devon,
You are a pure delight to be around.
We both love your company so much.
You make us smile and you are our teacher.
Thanks for coming into our lives.

| The Support of Friends |
Vistara has been, as always wonderful with Devon. Druing this renovation time she is was particularly giving.
She loves Devon so much already that to spend time with him is bliss for her. Devon enjoys her company very much too.
|
The renovation took much longer than we thought it would and with Vistara's love and support it still all went smoothly.
Thank you thank you our dear dear friend. In all love and light. |
Vijan is someone we knew a little before this renovation but now he really is family.
He was so amazing. He worked lovingly with Vibodha on the studio night and day until it was done.
He offered his guidance, expertise and love freely.
|
Without him we don't know how many more months and how many more dollars it would have taken to finish.
He was involved in the creative side of the entire project - and he was there at the birth of the mural.
|
|
|
| From a flat walled corner to an ocean horizon |
It was Vijan's idea to stretch the painting over 2 walls...
If you have not yet seen the mural, you may want to jump to the Warehouse Renovation, February 2005
Anyway, Vijan's suggestion: wrap the mural around onto the second wall. He even drew a small sketch to illustrate his idea... read more in Feb Renovations (link above).

| The Phoenix Man's Group |
As you may already know my friend Nis has a tepee.
In it, we hold the Phoenix man's group.
Once a week, I join my 'brothers' in the tepee.
We first sing, chant, & play instruments, then we meditate, then talk (with a talking stick), and finally have tea and a chat. It's nice to have a group of guys to talk openly to.
It is not something we do enough of in our society (in my opinion), yet I find it very nourishing. I find my time there steeped in widsom, friendship & loving respect. Thanks guys. |

| Feeding the Working Men |
My main job was to provide the food for the team.
I brought down picnic basket after picnic basket filled with yummy food for the gang.
I always felt very appreciated.
|
Sometimes we dined out at the little park nearby... |

| Tarot Kitchen - Replace or Not to Replace? |
| It was a turning point. The renovations had begun. The money became alocated. Questions still had to be asked and answered. The budget must be considered carefully with every choice. Our biggest question? |
THE BIG ONE:
Replace the kitchen?
If we replace it, how does that look... $ for labour tearing it out + replacement kitchen ($3800) + sink ($800) + gas range ($400) + oven ($500) + retiling $$ +plumbing $$ + electrician $$ ... aaaaa. LOTS OF MONEY.
Will the kitchen do? Even though every experienced opinion says the kitchen is a piece of junk and needs to go. ((breath, LOT OF MONEY, breathe...) Can we fix it up? Can we MAKE it do? |
As you can see, there is much to consider.
Are there any factors we have not considered? Let's draw tarot cards to see what they suggest. (Click here for an important note about tarot cards.)
Turn ONE card over for tearing it out...
Osho! The Master card.
OK. There's no need to turn another card. Out the kitchen comes.
and OOOOOOSHOOOOOO! |
As we tore the kitchen out
we spotted them...
WHITE ANTS (TERMITES!!!)
Yahoo!!! Thousands of dollars saved, possibly the entire mezzanine floor saved from the pesky little creatures.
(divine guard)
Thousands of dollars for a new kitchen... breathe, breathe. |

It's a lot of work.
That is certain.
There is much to learn.
Much to do.
