Well May has been an interesting and exciting month for us! At the beginning of the month we made a decision that we wanted to get our own place, and within 2 days we had the PERFECT one!!

Now we have moved in and are settled. Things are great here. We love it.

It has a perfect place for a natural home birth and for the water tub!! It has so many rooms that we cannot hear each other from one side of the house to the other!! It is about a 10-15 walk from the beach. We have been reading up on Feng Shui and moving things around the house, it makes SUCH a huge difference!!

The house has about 11 rooms and a beautiful garden, and right behind the house is the “bush”, were we go for walks, it is really delightful.

We have so much space, bearing in mind that we have been living pretty much in 1 room for the last 7 months, this is heavenly!

The house has a great wood burning stove in the centre which warms the entire place up, and it’s just moved into winter here and yesterday is was 26 degrees!! [Good eh!! It has been raining on and off too!].

The house had no furniture so I was just putting it out to people that if they have any furniture they want to donate to a good cause or if they are looking to store some furniture to let me know…then the miracle happened!!

One of our friends David said his girlfriend was moving in with him [on the same week that we were moving] and that she had an ENTIRE house full of furniture and she was about to put it into storage…and it would save them money and of course we would have a house full of furniture…amazing eh!!

Miracles do happen when you believe! AND THE FURNITURE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

It looks and feels fantastic, we are so blessed!! Here are some pictures of the house.

Baby Mai
May 2003

Update on Baby Mai:
In terms of the pregnancy, that is going very well too!!
We have childbirth classes starting on the 5th June to the 5th July and our midwife is wonderful – Sally - she is REALLY supportive of a home birth naturally.

I will get a scan soon I think, I had one in Chiang Mai and I think we will get one in a few weeks to check that everything is going well and to find out the sex of the baby!

We bought a COT and that totally freaked us out!! It all of a sudden became VERY REAL!!! I realise that we still know VERY LITTLE about what happens when the baby arrives, so I have been reading and need to make time to do that more and more.

The baby is now kicking and moving around and it feels really wild! I LOVE being pregnant!! E.J is really excited too!!

I also have had great news. My MUM AND DAD are coming over for the BIRTH!! They will be arriving around the 4th of October and the baby is due on the 6th October [Vibodha’s birthday].

We have been given loads of things by my friends who have children, people are so generous. Yesterday I washed a load of baby clothes and then asked EJ to hang them on the line.

I didn’t tell him there were hundreds of little romper suits and tiny socks in the machine, I thought I would surprise him!!

When I got home I asked him how the washing was, he just rolled his eyes and smiled. He said initially he thought “She didn’t tell me that there were hundreds of things and then as he started to hang them out on the line he was all smiles at how “cute” everything was…that was my intention!!!

Here is an example of the Chinese Laundry room in the house at the moment!!

Manning Park
Sunday 25th May

We have a park right next door to us, about a 10 minute walk.

It is beautiful but we hadn’t been in it yet. In the summer time they have outdoor movies there, it’s called Manning Park.

So today we decided to take a walk around there to explore! It really is beautiful with a huge lake in the centre.

There was a children’s birthday party taking place, people playing and walking around and a glorious sun shiny day!!

Gardening
30th May

Vibodha [EJ] and Vistara did the garden today for most of the afternoon and into the early evening, it looks great!

They did an amazing job. They were like one of those TV shows – “How to transform your garden in 4 hours!”

The before/after shots speak for themselves. We are having a party on Sunday [June 1st], a house warming and E.J. wanted the place to be beautiful for our friends to relax in!!

This is Vistara with a Bamboo Clipping that E.J. is potting up. I think he wants to plant a bamboo garden and is getting prepared.

And Finally

Sketch of CoupleI wanted to include this months 'favourite photo' - Lisa drew it during an Art for Pregnancy session she had with a friend Gosia.

As soon as I saw it I fell in love again, and here it is to share with you.

Enjoy!
