A Fleeting Memory of Home... Kuala
Lumpur International Airport 6th
April 2001 |
| ...sitting here in the KL airport,
an unexpected thought comes to me. It is actually a memory induced
by taste - by a hot chocolate on the table in front of me, that
I get a glimpse of my childhood...
...cold
wind, tingling skin, running inside after a day in the snow. The
heat of the house, & stuffing the tumble drier with our wet winter
clothes. Mom, with a steaming cup of hot chocolate waiting up in
the kitchen. Chocolate sweetness. Melting marshmallows in the comfort
of a winter afternoon... Hmm...
Tila and the air conditioned airport lounge bring me back to reality,
as she catches sight of our friends. I stop and charge across the
terminal before they jump into the elevator and disappear into the
bowels of the airport. What a way from the memories of youth, yet
such an exciting way to live as an adult.
Ten minutes later, we are all boarding the airplane
on our way to Singapore. |

Durian Fun in our apartment in Bukit Jalil
Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur
15th of April 2001 |
| Nirav
stopped over on his way to visit Vistara in Perth, which was a welcome
surprise - it is always 'nice' to spend time with him. If you click
on his name, you will see a little about him, in case you forget
who he is.
As
you can see if you clicked on his name, he is one of the world's
foremost experts on tropical fruit, and a renowned Durian enthusiast.
I know we talked about Durian a little bit during
Catherine's stay last month inThailand (go
there), however, I have eaten SEVEN since then, and I guess
it's about time I had my own say in the matter. |
| As
you can see, the Durian is a spiked
fruit. Yes, the spikes hurt! You wouldn't want one dropped on you
- I'll tell you that!
Once you get them open, which sometimes is a feat
in itself, you find the fruit. Basically you peel them well, it's
more like you... pull them open). Move your Mouse over the photo
above to see the durian split open...
And I highly recommend you

The rest of the Month in Kuala
Lumpur April, 2001 |
| Well, most of the time we either work from home
(telecommute via the Internet) or travel into the office at Tasik
Selatan via LRT (Light Rail Transit). Our current operation is organizing
systems and getting those systems working smoothly. We are also holding
seminars and organizing the upcoming Boot Camps for our two main courses
- Day Traders and Money Mastery. |
| Towards the end of April, I began to prepare for
giving Day Traders Seminars, and have since given 8 or so throughout
KL, and Penang, Malaysia and Singapore. The program is successful,
and we are looking forward to our first big Boot Camp in the end of
May. |
