The Lang Farm Birthday Adventure

We spent the afternoon and evening at Aunt Pattie's and Uncle George's.

We have changed the words of the song "Old MacDonald had a farm" to "My Aunt Pattie had a farm".

There are all sorts of animals at her house!

Devon had a wonderful time, as did we, as you will see.

We started off seeing the dogs and cats and progressed to rabbits, turtles, horses and fish.

It was great to see Devon so fearlessly interacting with all the animals.

Feeding the fish.

He fed the fish with Uncle George, Aunt Pattie, Poppy and me. The fish actually jumped out of the water to eat the food.

After we had blown huge bubbles, drawn with chalk on the ground and visited all the animals Devon had even MORE special treats in store for him...

Cousin Brad was amazing with Devon, he is a very loved little boy.

DEVON DRIVES A TRACTOR...Great fun with Uncle George...

I always knew how much fun Aunt Pattie was but this was the first time I really hung out with Uncle George, he is such a lovely man.

He is so much fun and was so great with Devon.

George took Devon for a ride on the "Big Red Tractor"...now that was a trip!!

He went round and round and he was so happy, he was driving it!

Then he got a spin on a smaller tractor (lawnmower) with his dad and drove it round and round.

When we went to go home he wanted to drive the car.! (He still does!)

Cousin Brad took him for a ride on the Quad Bike all around the garden.

He has HEAPS OF FUN!!

I think this was his favourite day in the USA!!

A fabulous day with family.

The whole day and experience was a LOT of fun.

Many of the family members were there. The stage was set for a delightful feast.

We all sat out in the garden with the sun shining on us and ate yummy food and enjoyed GREAT company.

A pony ride for Devon.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION FOR DEVON

THEN...just when I thought the day couldn't get any better out came a beautiful birthday cake with 1 candle on it.

Aunt Pattie said "We didn't get to celebrate his first birthday so we are having it now" and everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Devon.

We knew he listened... he sang it all the way home!

What a fabulous celebration.

WE really feel close to the Lang's, you all made such a special effort to make us feel truly welcomed and loved.

Thanks so much to you all!!
