 Hanging out in
New York City with Auntie Shawn, Uncle Chris rocks!
Devon loves Luna, Mr. Bumby & Emmet Otter (the cats).
We took a taxi back to Brooklyn from Penn Station with Auntie Shawn, who came to meet us. Devon was "wide eyed" at all the people. We headed back to their apartment to meet Chris and his brother Jason.
It is ALWAYS great to visit NYC. Everything feels so vibrant and alive. |

This is a very intimate zoo with a few select animals and a good atmosphere.
It is nice that these animals live in Central Park.
It reminded me of the fun movie Madagascar.

 Shawn, Chris, E.J., Devon and I took a stroll through Central Park.
Devon saw many great sights from his back pack perch.
He was amazed at the horse and carriages which would pass us in the park. |

 Chris and Shawn are such a great couple together, they are real soul mates.
Thanks Shawn and Chris for a couple of fantastic visits with you in Brooklyn.

One of Devon's favourite foods in NYC is "Pretzel". He kept saying "more pretzel, more pretzel".
There was a vendor every 2 or 3 blocks so we were able to give him more than one!

I didn't expect to see this sight in the park!
How divine it was, it reminded me instantly of our trip to Venice.

| A day in Brooklyn gardening |
This is the day the garden's transformation began...
Devon watched with anticipation.
The garden called itself into being.
Chris and Shawn were committed to having a beautiful outdoor space and decided to simply go on and create one for themselves and everyone else in their building. |
 E.J. felt inspired to start pruning the giant shrubs at the back of the garden.
He uncovered a beautiful patterned fence.

| There is always fun to be had in BROOKLYN... |
Shawn and Chris are a great Auntie and Uncle.
They love Devon so much and always have good fun with him. He learned lots from his time in New York. Here he is "Bruffh your teeth" (As Devon says it). |

 Chris is again teaching Devon how to play the bass.
He even learned how to use the bow properly. |

| A night with Miten and Deva Premal |
 Our favourite musicians just happened to be in New York City at the same time we were, so we changed our dates to be able to attend their concert.
We took Shawn and Chris there to celebrate both of their 30th birthdays (CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH). It was a very special evening. |
