The Dad Vail Regatta 2004

On our way to the Dad Vails with Uncle Tom and Amanda we stopped off and had some breakfast at a diner.

Just as we arrived we saw Coach onboard a boat headed up-river to join the crew of the boat he was the coxswain for.

Ah well... we'll catch him on his run down the river.

In the meantime, we just hung out and watched the races.

Uncle Tom and Amanda had fun with Devon, as you can see.

We knew coach must be coming soon as the 25 year boat passed us.

And lo and behold a few minutes later we were right.

That's Coach hanging out there in the back of the boat.

His role is to keep the oarsmen rowing in time, and on course.

It was the one thing we came to see, and we were delighted that it happened so soon after we arrived.

As they rode away we picked ourselves up and strolled the length of the river to our car.

Good job Coach!
