THE DELIGHT OF PARENTHOOD...continued
 
Devon is sleeping, which is great.

He has, as have all three of us, had a cold. His nose is constantly blocked and he has a cough. Even through all of this he is still a great little boy.

For 2 nights we got about 1-2 hours sleep as he would only fall asleep in our arms. We sat up all night together with him, sometimes sleeping in shifts.

 


Since then it is much better.
Last night he slept most of the night just waking up for his regular 3 hourly feed and going straight to sleep.

He will move into "through the night" sleeping when his body is ready.



I think because he is being raised on breast milk and not formula, he is hungry more often because the food is fresher and doesn’t stay in the digestive system long.

Anyway he is, as always, a huge source of delight and joy for us.

Motherhood is simply divine!

When Devon stares up at me with his big blue eyes for long long times is smile with love.

He is SITTING UP by himself now…he first did that when E.J., Shawn and I were up in her room hanging out. Now that was amazing!!
(Apparently it gets even more fun as he will start to become mobile… we’ll keep you up to date.)
