| Fairmount Boat House,
Boat House Row, Philadelphia |
| |
| Boat House Row (below) is one of the
most famous sights of Philadelphia (besides Independence Hall, The
Liberty Bell and The Art Museum steps, from the movie Rocky). |
|
|
This
is Fairmount Boat House.
LaSalle University, my father's alma mater, rows out of this house.
|

The boat houses are used to store the skulls (boats) for the rowers.
They simply carry them out the door and set them in the river. |
These
are the twin sculls.
Two people per boat.
The largest Regatta in the World happens right here on the Schukyll
River in Philadelphia.
