I sit here experiencing the morning after the night before...the Foyle Reunion. All those months of planning and WHAT A GREAT NIGHT!!

The thing is I want to meet everyone tonight and do it all over again. We has such an awesome time!

Nerves were very apparent as we all meet each other for the first time in in 20 years! I hid behind the table collecting the money, putting myself in a nice 'safe' place. Others 'hit the bar', and more still hit the bar outside of the reunion suite for some dutch courage to come inside!

The best part was that everyone felt the same way and we were all here excited to see our classmates.

People who have meant so much to us and who has shared so many years of life together.

Firstly the team met up and organised the room. We had pictures from our old school days, messages from friends who could not be there and snap shots of people in very dodgy looking eighties attire displayed near the bar (where there was the largest mass of people!).

They were a laugh and provided a great talking point...

Here is Colin Glenn, Alison Neely, Peter Olphert and John Gardiner having a good laugh!

Here is Mr Bogle, Mrs. Hutchison and Mr Thatcher reminiscing. The other teachers who came to share our special night were Mrs. Coskery and Mrs. Hughes...we were delighted to see them!

Thanks for making the effort to come!

As the night went on more and more people started to arrive, people became more and more relaxed in each others company. People went to speak to people that they had unfinished conversations with and there was a general atmosphere of excitement and friendship. We all relaxed straight back into our school times, lots of hugs and smiles and everyone saying how great it was for us all to get together.

We started off listening to some eighties music (courtesy of Mandy...who was voted the person who had changed the most!) and then the karaoke guys showed up...oh!

This is what I had been having sleepless nights about...how would that go down, would anyone get up!

I need not have worried for Peter Olphert (see him on the right here with Joanne McDowell) took the lead for the class giving a fab rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

Of course no-one wanted to follow that!!

The great singers, not surprisingly were the first ones up...Peter Olphert, George Walker, Mandy Humprehys and John Borland...then it all went downhill from there!! (not really!)

John pictured here was my 'first love', we went out with each other for 2/3 years during our time at Foyle. I didn't realise how great a singer he was!

I was so surprised at some of the people who had the nerve to go 'solo'...good on you Alison for a great 'Flashdance' & Sharon for 'Mustang Sally' (sorry if I have forgotten anyone else!).

The 'crack' was great! Once we had 'broken our ducks' there was no holding us back.

As the night went on it just kept getting better. The big finale, Colin Elder and Peter Olphert singing 'My Way' with the ENTIRE group all linking arms swaying to the music and singing/yelling 'WE DID IT OUR WAY!'

WHAT AN AWESOME NIGHT!

Thanks to everyone who came and made it so special.
