| The guys are trying all sorts so I can have a
hot bath tonight.
Nirav has a water heater coil but it won't reach, even using the
2 extension leads he has with him.
So they are now rewiring the short circuit box to by pass it, so
apparently the electricity can still flow through the cord.
it has just been lengthened.

(Nirav's Dad was an electrician, he tells EJ reassuringly.
EJ has now found the tape needed for the "big fix", he
found it very quickly in the mostly packed rucksacks.
I watch in amazement at this ingenuity - and all because they want
me to have my hot bath tonight, they're so sweet.
Now they have moved themselves and the equipment into the bathroom
and stand over the tub.

Nirav has just said:
"you never know with these things, it could all go up in
smoke".
To this remark EJ starts to get a little shifty and replies:
"You are not instilling me with confidence here"
Then there is silence.
They wait with baited breath, watching the bath tub.
I take a photo and EJ jumps up thinking there has been an electric
shock.
No...it's still not working.
They try all the connections again and they don't appear to want
to let this get the better of them.
Nirav goes back to his room, for the 4th time, this time for his
"electrical meter",
but he has left it in Bangkok, so he brought his AC adapter from
his computer.
So he has deduced that the power is not reaching far enough.
EJ looks like he has given up and is playing with the camera and
Nirav busies himself by the side of the bed.
Nirav is making reassuring noises and comments::
"It should be working".
A few more flicks of switches and I feel the crescendo is coming,
whether it will be hot or cold!
EJ has decided to regroup and is asking for the latest prognosis.
The power is making it as far as the adapter box... but no further.
They both sit now on the bathroom floor and you can almost here
their minds ticking over out loud,
trying to find the missing link .
I think we have a breakthrough. Simultaneously they both suggest
moving around the extension leads to see if they
can work out where the problem lies...
Another flick of a switch but EJ lets out a little noise that doesn't
sound like it's a
success. It was like kind of a "hummmh"
I wait.
It seems one of the cords is not working.
Something is circulating at 50 times per second according to Nirav
and he
explains "currents" to EJ who responds by humming a tune.
I feel I may need to interrupt soon and tell then I don't mind
not having the bath,
but I think it has gone beyond the bath, they are now trying to
succeed.
And ...there is a flicker of hope, they see something flicker,
but it's gone again.
I wait again.
Another flick of another switch.
EJ suggests they get a motorbike, turn on the lights and keep the
bike running for
half an hour,
he follows this up by saying:
"All this for 3 inches"...This is the distance
the cord is away from the bath!
EJ says:
"It's on" and hums the tune of Mission Impossible...could
this be success?
Nothing jubilant appears to have happened just yet.
It's appears NOT.
EJ has uttered one more of those "hummmh's"
Then there's a
"Got it!"
What's that for then I want to yell but I don't want to disturb
this energy flow.
So I wait.
"It's GOING" Says Nirav
HURRAH
but I still here no signs of celebration, aaagggh...
It's working but Nirav thinks it might be ttoo much electricity,
but he says:
"So far so good".
He gets EJ in to see what it looks like and I go to.
Yes it works, we see bubbles.

Nirav says:
"I trust you will enjoy this bath".
"I will," I reply with a smile.
