Where are we going Mummy & Daddy?

To the temple on the hill my son?

All the way up there?

Yes. On motorbikes.

Really mummy? Really daddy?

Yes. Let's go...
Up and up, round and round, up and up, round and round and round and round some more, up and up and we're there...

Do we take the stairs or the cable car?

 

 

 

Cable car is it then!

 

Up up up some more.

 

And we arrive at the temple complex.

 

Where are we?

 

Let's go see...

We're up up up up up here.

Chiang Mai is down down down down down there.
I think these photographs are DIVINE.

Did I ever think my child would be at the top of a Thai mountain ringing bells at a buddhist temple in Chiang Mai?

No.

But BOY is it fun!
Time for lunch...more Durian!!! Awesome!!!
 

Then, shoes off, up the central stairs to the centre of the temple; the place of the golden chedi and home of the Jade Buddha.
The Jade Buddha.
Three times around
the Chedi go Mummy and Devon.
One
Two.
Three go we.
And with reverence and great gratitude
we decended the stairs ourselves.
