You're About to Be a Father... you just don't know it yet...

Today was an interesting day.

First thing was to go for errands.

  • Internet Shop (for emails)
  • Indian Food (for lunch),
  • Water (from the water station),
  • Sony (for our fixed digital projector)
  • Boots the Chemist (for a pregnancy testing kit),
  • and bananas (if we have time).

We set out making a small loop of the city. Off to the South West corner of the city to Sony, then up the west side, and across North side to the Indian, let's eat! Saag Paneer, Masala Paneer and 5 chapattis (as usual). Yum.

Off to fill several gallons of water (which lasts us 3 days) and then off to the internet shop. Type type type. Messages from Manmeet, Karen and Dave. Cool.

Then a small run to Boots. Get the Pregnancy kit, and back to the hotel.

Over the bridge, and back across the Fruit Market bridge. Ooh, bananas. Turn here, past the American Embassy, pick up a bunch of bananas for 35bhat (90centsUS, 50P UK), and drive through the main fruit market towards home.

Park the bike, unload, and take the elevator to the 5th floor.

We unpack. Water in the fridge, bananas with the fruit, digital projector on the bed... Gotta plug it in and turn it on. It's been away being repaired for the last three weeks.

Right, pregnancy kit. Honey, are you going to use this now?

Yes? Ok.

Pass the kit to her.

Put the back-packs on the coat rack. Open the Sony projector case.

It says it takes three minutes - I hear from the bathroom.

I hear the tap turn on.

Move the computer to the bed. Plug 'em together. Turn the projector towards the empty white wall...

Oh, should help her hang those out I suppose. Stand and reach to assist her in hanging up socks to dry.

Has it been three minutes yet?

Should we check this now? I ask.

I suppose.

I step into the bathroom. The dongle (what are these things called anyway?) is sitting on the corner of the sink.

Right, look in the little window. Pink line on the right, that's pretty clear. Pink line on the left? Yep. It's fainter, but definitely a line.

Honey.

Yes.

I point towards the kit.

She leans over.

Oh!

Does that mean?

Yes honey, it does.

Really?

Yes. There's definitely a line, and that means...yes.

Ooh.

I smile.

We hug (gently).

Wow.

Yeah, wow.
