Stewart and Carol (middle) invited us on a barge
tour of the river in Bangkok.
It was spectacular. As Lisa said 'you get a whole different
view of the city from the river.' |
| |
|
"We took a trip in Bangkok,
up on the river a way,
we saw the sights,
we smelled the smells,
and had a wonderful day." |
| |
| This
is an example of the mixture of modern and old architecture.
You see this all the way along the river.
|
| What a sight. The houses
out over the river... the laundry... beautiful. |

|
The Rice Barge (bottom left of
this photograph) took us back up the river.
It rocked and swayed and was a very pleasant ride, really! |

Thailand's temples abound.
In every town they are abundant.
Buddha lives within the hearts of the Thai. |
| |
| This
woman is washing in the river. Many
of the Thais still do not have water in the shanty town where
they live.
Imagine having to come to a river to get washed!
We have so many modern day conveniences.
It's good to travel as it makes
you more thankful for what you havel and how we live! |
| |
| |
| Imagine
walking out YOUR back door and having a river-launch attached
to your porch.
What a way to travel around the city... amazing.
Amazing Thailand. |
