KOH PHA NGAN 2002
- a snapshot view -

Yes, there are LOTS of beaches with lots of palm trees.

They are very beautiful.

Thailand is truly Amazing.

Why wouldn't you want to walk across this bridge... there are ropes holding it from falling, what's the problem?

This is Resort of Tong Reng on the beach of Haad Tien, the north-eastern shore of Koh Pha Ngan.

Tila and our new friend Marie on the Boat to 'The Sanctuary' beach and resort. We had a great vegitarian breakfast and a massage (each). Beautiful.

We also got re-married (I think) in the Wat (temple) where we dropped Chok-dee.
Read about Chok-dee.

The monk's name (he is taking our photo) is Pra Sumchai. He gave us a blessing for health, wealth and children.

He also gave us an iconic-buddha necklace each - for protection.

A spirit house. For the spirits of the land to live in - now that the land is build upon.

It's called a snake fruit. It's delicious. Kind of tart, but not gooie or stringy.

It's apparently the fruit of a type of palm. If you see one, buy it, peel it and taste it. It's yummy.

Well, you have to get to those fantastic beaches somehow...

Thank you to all the taxi-boat drivers who do this service for people.

The infamous Haad Rin, home of the Full-moon Party every month.

We went once back in 2000, you can check it out HERE.

Bungalo

We lived in the bottom bungalow, this is where Vistara and Nirav stayed.

An ancient Cheti on Koh Pha Ngan, where we left our Cat-friend Choke Dee.

Footprint

(as if you didn't know that already.)

The roads snake through the jungle, up and over a mountain, and deliver you to a few scattered beaches with white sand and tropical sunshine.
