The Pune, India Photo Gallery
Hope you like the pictures. Snaps from our daily life here in Pune, India.
An Ayai, basically a cleaner for the house. It cost us £1.70 ($2.50) to have our house cleaned, laundry done, and floors washed in the entire apartment. She comes once a week.
Mr Sham passing the time.
A view from the car of Indian people walking down the street.
Krishna. The statue stands in the entrance to the Apartment Complex. Our night time security guard prays to it at 5:30 every morning. He is the Happiest person we think we have ever met. He is always smiling.
Our living room.
Mr Sham again. (He is our landlord here in Pune, in case you jumped straight to the photo gallery)
Mr Sham and Son.
A Rickshaw. Like a taxi, but much less safe and much, much cheaper. (It costs about 15p - 25cents to go about five miles) They drive like lunatics.
Another one.
A Taxi Rank.
A Truck.
A strange, but friendly woman waving to us as we drive by.

Me again. Hope you liked the pictures. I am sure this gives you an insight into the Indian way of life, at least here in Pune.

Bye.
