Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada is a spectacularly beautiful place.

If you haven't yet been there it is high on my list of recommendations.

It is a perfect blend of manmade delights and nature. Grouse mountain stands strong overlooking the city itself.

As Vancouver is a mountainous area it is heavily populated also in the winter when influxes of skiers pour in.

Grouse Mountain is, in the winter, a very popular ski resort where you spend a day on the slopes, with a magnificent view of the beautiful city of Vancouver, breathtaking!! I'll let you have the view from Grouse yourself. Enjoy...

You go up there by Cable Car. It is an amazing ride and worth waiting at the beginning of the queue in order to claim a place at the window facing down towards Vancouver; the view you get is exquisite.

Some Canadian Brown Bears are housed up on the mountain and are wandering around [enclosed] in a large area.

It is photographers heaven, it is only a shame you cannot see the full size photos here as the reduced ones really lose a lot of quality.

The trees on the left and Vancouver City on the right. I am sure you can well imagine how we felt overlooking this while in a cable car way way up there!!

She has a beautiful view of Grouse mountain from her house!

The spectacular Lion's Gate Bridge takes you from North Vancouver right into Stanley Park, a huge natural park right in the middle of Vancouver.

You can drive around it and there are so many activities there.
