On one of our drives we found ourselves being drawn up a lane called "Murphy's Lane". It was a small winding road with beautiful houses on both sides.

I remember thinking that I did not expect to see houses back here.

It looked like an awesome place to live! When we got to the very top of the road, at it's highest point, we see a house straight in front of us and it has a "FOR SALE" sign on it.

Then it got even better....the hottub, built into the deck, looked like a great place to sit under the stars throughout those Hot North America summer months!!

The architecture was unique and in keeping with the natural surroundings, and the impressive mountain edge. Lots of light and skylights.

I wanted to buy it then and there!! I was convinced I could spent the rest of my life there!We took down the telephone number of the realtor [estate agent], found a pay phone at a little cafe and called her on her mobile. We were shoving quarter after quarter into the slot.

We managed to find out that the house was going for $1.3million.

My heart skipped a beat...still...there's always a way... we arranged a viewing for the next day.

I did not want to give up the dream of having this house!

So the next day we met the realtor and she showed us inside.
...and once again we were in absolute delight with what awaited us inside.

The kitchen looked down over the dining area which was surrounded by glass on 2 walls and overlooked the lake.

What an location for entertaining you, our friends!!

The master bedroom looked out unto the living area open plan, and both it and the second bedroom had ensuites and private balconies overlooking the gardens and the lakes.

There were no neighbours to speak of. Just peace and quiet and of course luxury and indulgence to the max!!

Upstairs had a view from the 3rd floor all the way to the ground floor.

If I had to stay there, and never leave, I think I would be happy. Our family and friends would be welcome to come and hang out in the hot tub!!

So my brain started ticking away... I discovered a way of having a share of the property...

I started to put together an investment property deal...

I would find 4 people who would LOVE to live/own/invest in this most exquisite property.

Each would pay 25% of the house price.
Each would own 20% of the property, which they could sell at any time.

Each would have 2 months, one winter one summer in which to live in this wonderful home.

The property would be professionally managed.

In return for putting the deal together and making it happen, EJ and I would own the other 20%. We would have 4 months a year to live there.

It was perfect and I could just see and feel myself in that divine kitchen looking down at the smiling faces of the people I loved....and at the lake in the distance... it was so real I could touch and taste it.

Then something happened to spoil my plan FOR NOW.

A RICH LAWYER from Toronto put in an offer of $1.3million, and it was accepted.

I was not ready yet.. and did not put together a counter offer.. but I am sure that someday I will entertain some of you in that house.....
