| Isn't Devon Divine...an amazing
little boy. |
Devon
continues to be a delightful boy.
He is kind, inquisitive, loving, generous, playful,
joyful, open, honest, peaceful, helpful, clever, affectionate....
and the list goes on.
He has an enthusiastic spirit, loving the experience
of life.
It's fun to be with him. |
He
continually amazes me with the concepts he understands at
this lovely young age.
People comment all the time on how well spoken
he is.
He has a very wide range of vocabularly and
general wisom for a boy of his age.
We always share that we taught Devon sign language
before he was physically able to talk.
So, when his language skills did evolve he was
alreday talking with us. (BabySigns book). |
Devon the LION... |
He
is three, and has started to exert hiself in the world - which
is good to see. He has some friends his age but he usually
hangs out with adults, and his babysitter Danica (18).
He is learning to be with people in a relaxed and mostly
grounded environment. He can mix more with children when he
is within himself and feeling secure.
At his 3rd birthday in
October 2006, he had his face painted for the first time.
He wanted to be a Lion.
He made a great lion, and enjoyed roraring and
racing.

He
totally reflects back to me whatever mood or state I am in.
I really start to experience that when I am happy is he happy.
I am reading "Buddism for Mothers" and am committed
to being a loving, kind, playful, gentle , nurturing and supportive
mother.
Devon gives me many opportunities everyday to show kindness
and to be unconditionally loving.
I am blessed to have you in my life. |
| A little boy for sure... |
| He
is such a helpful boy always wanting to give us things, he
loves beingthe parcel man. His favourite thing to do right
now is to pack and unpack boxes.
It was so perfect that we moved house. Devon had a mountain
of boxes to pack, unpack and move one by one out onto the
big truck.
He was the catalyst-motivator and had us unpacked in days
instead of weeks.
And he-himself loaded every box onto the truck.

| Exploration into Renovation |
He
also builds towers from lego and megablocks of all shapes
and sizes.
He moves heaps of toys from one location to another using
a variety of large and small trucks, diggers, loaders, trolleys,
bikes, wheelbarrows, excavators, shovels and buckets.
He still loves dump trucks and all forms of construction
vehicles. We stop frequently to watch as things are built
around us. |
Never
getting tired of loading and unloading, pouring and filling
up.
He learns so quickly, you only need to say something once
and he gets it. Now we are spelling! (I can see that the more
Devon grows the more telepathic Vibodha and I need to become!)
Devon is such a teacher to us, we are continually learning
from him. s |
| The many qualities of Devon... |
Through
Devon's love I am re-learning how to play and let go of control.
When I ask him what he wants to do he more frequently than
not says PLAY!
That sounds like a great idea to me too. I know now that
play is a quality that we bring to anything that we do. So
now even hanging out the washing can be playful!
Devon is a lovingly helpful boy. |
  |

He spends many hours in the garden with his Dad planting
vegetables and he helps me with Darshan and with the cooking
and the cleaning and the laundry.
He is a joy and pleasure to be around.

| Devon loves art and is a very creative boy... |
He
goes to play with Danica once a week for a few hours.
She is 19 and fabulous, she is Nis's daughter. She is now
at Uni studying ART and as well as talented she is loving
and a lot of fun, she is a very good mentor for Devon and
I feel honoured to have her be with Devon in the loving way
she is.
When they are together they are doing something creative,
artistic and fun!

He
really enjoys painting and drawing - no surprise of course
with his parents love of art.
He truly is a very adored little boy and people continually
tell him that.
He also plays with Vistara and his friends and neighbours
Crest and Jessie. |
|
He
likes it when Vibodha and I are around.
At night we all sleep in the one big family room. The back
half of which is wall-to-wall bed. (One King size futon in
the middle and two single futons either side for the boys.)
Vibodha tells me we only have 2 inches clearance - a perfect
fit.
We are getting bunk beds from the Clarks (thank you very
much) and they will go in the Jungle Room for whenever Devon
is ready to go into his own room.
Yesterday he said "I want to sleep wherever you and
Daddy are sleeping" so I know he feels safe in with us.
We know that when he feels safe he has the space and freedom
to evolve and grow and to learn at his own pace. |
Devon
plays more regularly on his own in the boys playroom and enjoys
his own company.
|
He
LOVES to draw with his pens. This year for Christmas Vistara
bought him body paints.
So, on Christmas morning we were all writing and drawing
on eachother. Beautiful oceans, trees, sunshines and hearts,
it was great fun. |
Ever
since Mom Mom America posted over all of EJ's adventure people
it has been non-stop adventuring both on land and in water!
Thank you Mom Mom America for being so GREAT!!!
Thanks for saving and preserving an entire range of cool
toys of EJ's. I am so inspired by you. I will keep them too
and a few more of his favourites. Devon is imaginative and
creative and spends all day every day playing and learning
with us. He enjoys life!
We dance together a lot, his favourite song is:
"Walking in the Jungle", a singalong song to an
adventure book, it is a lot of fun.
|
| He is a great big brother too... |
  |
  |

|
He
rides his bike all around the new house, inside and outside
and loves it.
He is a delightful boy who is filled overflowing with love
and blessings.
Everyone who he meets is left touched by him in some way.
He is learning patience, respect, nurturing, friendship,
lightheartedness, fun, compassion and curiosity. |
I
am so lucky to be his Mum. |
  |
| Thank
you Devon , my lovely boy for all that you bring to enhance
my life.
