Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia
Knowing how much he likes parks, I decided to take him on
a stroll through the Botanical Gardens.
We picked up a durian from the local supermarket and ate
it out of the boot of our car before strolling into the Botanical
Gardens.

Devon made it approximately 100 yards into the gardens
when he promptly fell asleep in his stroller.
It was a very relaxing place. I enjoyed the stroll through
the beautiful, aromatic, and endangered plants, flowers and
trees, many of which I found quite photogenic. |

The Pet Pourpouse Pool with Ruth and Janaki
Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia |
The
entire Pelican Beach Resort was taken up with the Journey
Retreat, which meant that we had the run of the hotel most
of the time.
We met one other set of people who were also there to relax.
Ruth and Janaki. Janaki's daddy, Phil, is a trainer at the
Journey, and they came to keep him company.
So together we took a few adventures. The first of which
was the Pet Porpoise Pool.

Yes,
this is Devon feeding the penguins.
Very brave little boy he is!
I really enjoyed being with him as he interacted with the
new animals. He's brave, yet cautious. And he really enjoys
doing new things. |

Like feeding Penguins. Can you believe it?

| The Big Banana |
|
This is the big banana.
Do you see it?
It's big.
We ate a banana muffin (me) and a banana ice-cream (Devon)
and walked through the big banana. Hmmmmm.
|

We went there twice. It was halfway between the resort and
the town, so we drove by it twice a day. I never saw so much
banana kitch in my life. It was fun, and Devon enjoyed it.
And yum yum bananas. |

| The Pelican Beach Resort's Pool |
We had a lot of time to be together during the week. We
went swimming almost every day. Devon brought two small squeaky
balls with him and we would throw them out into the pool and
swim after them. (by swim, I mean I'd walk and carry him through
the water).
As he got more comfortable, he would go off collecting water-noodles
(floatation-noodles) and we'd make a boat of them and float
around the pool. |

| The Beach and the Resort |
|
The
Pelican Beach Resort was, of course, right on the beach.
Devon and I would go for long strolls along the beach. One
day he fell asleep on my shoulders as we were walking back
to the resort.
He's so cute and cuddly. |

|
| |
|
| We also got to see mummy, mostly at mealtimes. She looked
more and more beautiful as the days went on. |
|
|
And played with Janaki in their suite on the second floor.
It was great to spend a week just Devon and I exploring and
having adventures. Splendid. Thanks Devon! |
