A transition into parenthood

9.10am

Good morning to you all.

It is 9:10am and I want to let you know about some of the changes taking place in the Clark household.

At 9.10am on any random weekday (before having a child) we would be meditating, having been up since 8.30am.

We would be just about ready to get up to do Yoga and then have a leisurely breakfast together [probably outside in the sun].

What it's like NOW that Baby Devon has arrived …

Well, let me give you today so far as an example. We got up at 6:00am and have…

  • Fed Devon.
  • All three of us had a shower.
  • Made and eat scrambled eggs on toast [me] and baked beans on toast [EJ].
  • Played with Devon.
  • Done 2 loads of washing, one has been hung out…by the way it is a glorious day already, bright sunshine, hot and not a cloud in the blue blue sky…washing will be dry in an hour or so!!
  • Vacuumed the entire house.
  • Done the dishes and cleaned the kitchen.
  • Put Devon back to bed.
  • and even managed to grab a few minutes in front of the computer.

NOT BAD EH!!!

Being a parent is just such a joyous experience, we both really enjoy it. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!
