When we think about the past, we think of memories...

In our minds eye we look back and remember.

The sights, the sounds, the smells, the tastes... the languages, the customs, the friends we met along the way... the places we slept!

Five years of travelling the world, five years of adventure.

We thought you might enjoy a flashback as much as we have. Enjoy!

Most Nature-Full Accommodation:
Khao Sok National Park, Southern Thailand.

I remember the Jungle. The beautiful limestone cliffs overlooking our small hut right on the edge of the river.

I remember our home in London
I remember where we used to live in Much Hadham. In the Builders Store on the Square. We had lovely neighbours and a bridleway which passed right out front. What a divine place to have started our adventure from.
Floating Lanters

I remember Loy krathong and the thrill of releasing paper lanterns into the night sky along with thousands of celebrating Thais.

Elephants in Chiang Mai
I remember elephants in Chiang Mai. What I find most amazing about watching an elephant paint (we watched a young one learning) was that they are INTENTIONAL about what they are doing.
Shunyam Nirav

I remember our dear friend Nirav. An eternal thank you and namaste to you Nirav!

The one we met at the airport on that very first night of our Round-the-world trip in 1999. I remember the invite to Pune and to the rest of our lives in freedom

~~Nirav celebrating life itself!

I remember Durian and am looking forward to the time when I free my mind enough to eat it !!!

Hong Kong, Feng Shui & Financial capital of the East

I remember visiting Hong Kong in 2004 - I didn't properly write up the story of our visit when we first posted this, so I've filled in a few things that the photographs might not have conveyed.

Enjoy.

OSHO

I remember Pune, India, and meeting Osho.

Zen Master.

NEW YORK CITY - TWIN TOWERS

I remember New York City before 911 remember watching my sister Shawn play at the 'Top of the World' restaurant at the top of the WTC.

It is sad to know there are people who resort to destruction as their means of solving problems.

The Two become Three

I remember The Big News

When we knew that we were to be parents...when we were living in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand.

The Presidential Suite, Raffles Hotel, Singapore.
I remember taking Mum and Dad to Singapore for the night when they came over to Kuala Lumpur on holiday. We stayed in the presidential suite at the world famous Raffles Hotel, Singapore.
4th of July
I remember the 4th of July 2002 (and my birthday the next day) I was treated like a princess in Philadelphia.
Catherine's visit to Koh Pha Ngan

I remember taking my sister, Catherine, to Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand and having an unexpected bad weather front roll in (for two weeks).

I gave Vibodha his second wedding ring. He lost the first one here on this same island almost a year before.

Kek Lok Si Temple in Penang, Malaysia.
A treat for the eyes...
I remember Penang and the temple of Kek Lok Si high on the hill. Exquisite, beautiful.
Birthing Preparation

I remember getting ready for Devon to come. Decorating the birthing room and preparing for our son to join us.

four days before>>

I remember Natural Childbirth.
The Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland

I am not sure why The Giant's Causeway is not listed as one of the natural wonders of the world, it should be.

And it's right around the corner from my in-laws home. Northern Ireland is a uniquely beautiful part of the world.

Dynamic Meditation on Coogee Beach

I remember dynamic meditation on Coogee Beach,

This is the beach we are fighting to save, they want to turn it into a marina and build houses for 2 miles out into the ocean.

Volleyball on a South Thailand Island, Koh Pha Ngan

I remember fondly, Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand.

Days on the beach eating fresh fruit and nights on the hammock. Delicious food and a totally relaxing!

Add volleyball with South Africans and you've got yourself a tropical holiday!!

The Lucky Kitten - Chok Dee

I remember Chok Dee the lovely kitten we saved on Koh Pha Ngan.

Chok Dee prepared us for caring for another small creature... baby Devon.

I remember the Full Moon Party on Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand. Thousands of people dancing on the beach until the sun came up.

Unforgettable.

My baby brother's wedding in sunny Barabdos
