Globaltickit - Vibodha, Tila, Devon and Darshan
GLOBALTICKIT.COM

Global Tick It started in the living room of our home, the Builders Store on the Square, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire, England.

It was a few weeks before the start of our backpacking round-the-world-trip in November of 1999.

Yes, we were backpackers. Backpackers with a laptop. We figured, since I was a website designer, why not document our travels on the internet? That way people can come and see what we're doing, and we can share what we're up to.

It seemed more interactive than post cards. And why not? It was really only the beginning of the 'internet age'.

My best man, Alex Hannah, (see Alex and his girlfriend Lesley when they visited Perth in 2004 ~ see more ) was the one who suggested the name. "Tick IT, like a tick mark, a tick symbol." The name was born. Tick off the places visited on the globe...globaltickit.com

This is the original logo and image which has evolved over time

We traveled with two professional cameras (big lenses and all), as this was slightly before the digital camera revolution. The photographs of India and Thailand back in 2000 were only recently inserted as they had to be scanned from physical prints. :) .

It was 1999. The millennium was upon us. Two thousand years (+) of development, a current reminder of the distance humans have come. A celebration was about to happen.

And we were about to set off on a trip.

Were we crazy? Possibly, but not anywhere near as crazy as we discovered we were!

In the pages of Global Tick It you can see what happened to us, what we created in our lives and what we discovered along the way.

We are Tila and Vibodha, aka Lisa and EJ Clark. As you will see, the two become three in 2003. Here you will meet Devon. He was made in Thailand, grown on fruit soup, and born in Fremantle, Western Australia. He's an adventurer too!

When we began this website in November of 1999 it was to share our one-year round the world trip with our family and friends. Little did we know that five years later we would still be celebrating, traveling, enjoying and sharing it.

We have opened ourselves to experience a greater range of possibilties and had many insights into ourselves, our communities, and our world. We have travelled around the world three times, have made many friends, and have met many masters.

Through the pages and over the years you will see our language, our bodies, our way of thinking, our lifestyle and our way of being transform.

Many of our stories were written years ago. These pages should be viewed as part of our evolution, and do not always accurately reflect the people we are today.

Not all of the pages contained within express our current views on life. Some pages have been re-structured and re-edited, however many remain in their original format.

You will see how we went from corporate London to the spiritual world of Perth. We have lived in seven countries and circumnavigated this wonderful planet three times. We are due to set off on another trip in May 2005 as we join my brother Tom and his fiance Amanda on their wedding day in New York State.

It has been an evolution, and one we're delighted to share.
